This volunteer-run, educational non-profit, has been around since 2006 promoting GreenACTnv’s mission to promote sustainable practices and environmental responsibility in the way we work, play and live.

GreenACTnv has been busy since last spring when COVID-19 changed just about everything. We’ve been working on rescheduling the session planned for the May Green Living Day. We’ve reactivated our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/GreenACTnv/) and you are encouraged to visit it often. It’s full of good information.

We are holding our first Virtual program, How To Become a Green Business in Nevada, with Donna Walden, president of the greenUP! Board will give a presentation on the Nevada Green Business Network and how to become a certified green business. greenUP! is partnering with GreenACTnv to assist Douglas County businesses enhance their environmental performance.

We have tentatively scheduled our Annual Harvest Supper for Monday, November 9 at Gather in Carson City. Due to Covid-19 restrictions seating will be limited so get your reservation and payment in early. Check back here for updates.

How To Become a Green Business in Nevada

Donna Walden, president of the greenUP! Board will give a presentation on the Nevada Green Business Network and how to become a certified green business. greenUP! is partnering with GreenACTnv to assist Douglas County businesses enhance their environmental performance.  

At the heart of the program is GreenBizTracker, a web-based software program that provides an easy to use framework to help businesses adopt sustainable practices. The program is FREE and businesses in the program are likely to save on energy and reduce their waste disposal costs.  Walden will walk through the three easy steps to become green certified.

Annual Harvest Supper
